28A- Your exit strategy

1. I plan to sell my business to another social media. Whether they decide to keep both sites running separately or incorporate aspects of my website into their own is entirely up to them.
2. I've chosen this strategy because I'm not confident in how long social media will be around, and don't want to invest my entire life into something that might be temporary. Also, since my product is very niche, I believe I will be more successful in selling my company to another platform that could potentially just want to incorporate the functions of my site into theirs.
3. My decision will allow me to focus more on the R&D/ development portion of my business, rather than advertising, marketing and customer service.

  1. Hey,
Yes I agree sell your business to a different social media company, let them take over and make the best choice for you while you reap the benefits. You are right don't invest into something that you don't know how long it will be profitable, just make your money before you begin to loose it. But remember you got to advertise in order to sell.

  2. Hi Andreanna,
I think that it is very interesting that you will be selling your business due the fact that you don't believe that social media will be around for a long time. I also decide that I would be selling my business as well, but my main reasoning was due to the fact that I have a very niche target market that I don't believe will ever grow. I think it is a great idea that by selling your business you would be able to focus more on R&D. Overall, your post was very well thought out and I think you did a very good job.
